BESSIE KAUFMAN
McCLURE, Ill. -- Private family graveside service for Bessie A. Kaufman of Dupo will be held at Lindsey Cemetery. Dashner Funeral Home in Dupo is in charge of arrangements. Kaufman, 76, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1997, at her home. She was born Nov. 13, 1920, in Elco, daughter of Dan and Mary Bailey Verble. She married Ralph E. Kaufman Sr., who died Aug. 21, 1995...

She was born Nov. 13, 1920, in Elco, daughter of Dan and Mary Bailey Verble. She married Ralph E. Kaufman Sr., who died Aug. 21, 1995.
Survivors include three daughters, Grace Benefield of McClure, JoAnn Wilson of Paducah, Ky., Carol Love of Dupo; two sons, the Rev. Ralph Kaufman Jr. of Villa Ridge, Richard Kaufman of Dupo; a brother, Danny Verble of Pekin; two sisters, Minnie Sydenstricker of Cahokia, Winnie Flowers of Mounds; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son.
