PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Bertie L. Statler, 80, of Perryville died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Mo.
She was born in Bollinger County on April 20, 1929, daughter of the late Ora M. and Lou Veina Sample Welker. She and Wilbert L. Statler were married Oct. 9, 1948. He preceded her in death Aug. 8, 2008.
She was a homemaker and worked at Ewald's Bar-B-Que. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Perryville, the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary and UCT United Commercial Travelers Insurance in Perryville.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lou (Robert H.) Hagan and Kathy Marie (Darrel W.) Hobbs, both of Perryville; two granddaughters; a great-grandson; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Charles L. Welker; and an infant sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 6:30 a.m. to service time Wednesday at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bruce Owen officiating.
Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
Memorials to the cemetery are preferred.
