ADVANCE, Mo. -- Bertie Bush Sitz, 90, of Advance died Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at Advance Nursing Center. She was born Oct. 21, 1913, at Swinton, Mo., daughter of Orble and Minnie Mann Smothers. She married Charles Bush in 1934. She later married Orville Henson in 1951. Both preceded her in death...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Bertie Bush Sitz, 90, of Advance died Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at Advance Nursing Center.

She was born Oct. 21, 1913, at Swinton, Mo., daughter of Orble and Minnie Mann Smothers. She married Charles Bush in 1934. She later married Orville Henson in 1951. Both preceded her in death.

Sitz attended Bell City Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a son, Norbert Bush of Advance; a daughter, Charlsie Anspach of Advance; three brothers, Harvey Smothers of Bloomfield, Mo., Elvis and John Smothers of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Helen Stewart of Bloomfield; four grandchildren; 10-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and three sisters.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Dale Halcomb and Brad Moore officiating.
