EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Bertha May Triplett, 88, of East Prairie died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born April 17, 1912, at Bertrand, Mo., daughter of George and Hattie VanPool Graham. She and Dallas Earl Triplett were married Jan. 24, 1931. He died Feb. 11, 1980.
Triplett lived in Mississippi County all her life.
Survivors include two sons, J.E. "Soakie" Triplett of East Prairie, David Triplett of St. Louis; a daughter, Evelyn Scheffer of Sikeston; a sister, Lorene Thornton of East Prairie; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, a brother, and two sisters.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Stanley Triplett, a grandson, officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
