MARBLE HILL -- Bertha M. Cook, 79, of Marble Hill died Monday, Aug. 16, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born near Hurricane on Dec. 27, 1913, daughter of Adam Lee and Kizzie Langston Cook.
She was a housewife.
On March 14, 1931, she married Delzie Cook. He survives of Marble Hill.
Also surviving are two sons, Dewey Cook of Marble Hill and Clytus Cook of Bowling Green, Ky.; one daughter, Verla Cook of Marble Hill; five brothers, Charley, Tom, Perl, the Rev. Grover and John D. Cook, all of Marble Hill; three sisters, Annie Long, Ruby Hanners and Iva Nelson, all of Marble Hill; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
One brother preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Sander and the Rev. Donnie Cook officiating. Burial will be in James Cemetery near Marble Hill.
