Bertha Aline Cash, 93, of Mount Vernon, Ill., died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at Mount Vernon Care Center.
She was born May 4, 1910, in Jefferson County, Ill., daughter of Fred Omer and Daisy Mae Wimberly Eyre. She and George L. Cash were married Nov. 4, 1935, in Salem, Ill. He died Nov. 11, 1981.
Mrs. Cash was formerly of Cape Girardeau. She worked a number of years at Mount Vernon Shoe Factory. She was a charter member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Trivisonno and husband Jerry of Mount Vernon; two sons, George L. Cash Jr. and wife Vickie of Jacksonville, Ill., William Nelson Cash and wife Bonnie of Springfield, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandson, John Cash; a great-grandson, Benjamin Harrington; a great-granddaughter, Priscilla; three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jim Matthews will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
