Bertha R. Carr, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born May 25, 1937, in Little Rock, Ark., daughter of George and Addie Miller Burleson. She and Ed Carr were married in October 1986. He died March 19, 1995.
Carr was a caregiver in private homes until becoming disabled. She was a member of Apostolic Promise Church.
Survivors include three sons, Troy Grimes of Jackson, Rodger and Kenny Grimes of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Pat French of Jackson; two brothers, Buck Burleson of Heber Springs, Ark., Donny Burleson of Pangburn, Ark.; a sister, Orpha Westbrook of Searcy, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Timothy Lee officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
