On Tuesday, Aug. 2. 2022, Bert Robinson passed away at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Nov. 8, 1924, to Effie Denfip Robinson and the late Bert Robinson. Bert's father passed away before he was born 0ct. 24, 1924. Bert was one of four children, and all of his siblings have passed away: Mabel Morrison and Elvis and Roy Robinson. He married Doris Clinton Robinson on July 22, 1946, and was happily married for 72 years until her death in December 2018...

On Tuesday, Aug. 2. 2022, Bert Robinson passed away at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 8, 1924, to Effie Denfip Robinson and the late Bert Robinson. Bert's father passed away before he was born 0ct. 24, 1924. Bert was one of four children, and all of his siblings have passed away: Mabel Morrison and Elvis and Roy Robinson. He married Doris Clinton Robinson on July 22, 1946, and was happily married for 72 years until her death in December 2018.

Bert is survived by two daughters and a son. Michael Tuttle of Sonora, California, was discovered to be his son through DNA, and Bert and Mike met and established a relationship in 2019. His daughters are Carolyn Duvall and Nancy Garrison of Deland, Florida. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelia Moore, in July 2013.

Bert was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church and has fond memories of the sweet people there. He was a truck driver and always said that he loved his job!

Bert loved people and people loved him back. He will be missed and mourned by all who loved him.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Aug. 13 at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 13 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clint Nale officiating. Interment with full military rites will follow at Olive Branch (Illinois) Cemetery.
