PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Bernice A. Weber, 86, of Perryville died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born May 21, 1922, in Columbia, Mo., daughter of Theodore A. and Flora H. Meyer Mecker. She and Harold J. Weber were married June 13, 1943. He died Jan. 26, 1985.
Weber had been a medical assistant to the late Dr. James Fairchild. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and choir, PTL member of Immanuel Lutheran School, charter member of Perryville Country Club, an avid golfer and fan of St. Louis Cardinals Baseball.
Survivors include a daughter, Sheryn Weber (George) McClay of Camden, S.C.; two sons, Brad (Rita) Weber of Perryville, Shawn Weber of Steeleville, Ill.; a sister, Alice Nelson of St. Charles, Mo.; two grandchildren, Bethany Franks and Shane Weber; and two great-grandchildren, Sheila and Grace Whitlaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Helen Henson and Dorothy Mecker.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Christopher Cole officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
