Bernice P. Urhahn, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 18, 1917, in Ancell, Mo., daughter of Otto and Adeline Hess Blattel.
She and Ervin Urhahn were married Feb. 25, 1936, at Kelso, Mo. He died Nov. 24, 1985.
She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton, Mo., and its Ladies Sodality, and at one time cooked for St. Denis Grade School. She was a seamstress at home for many years.
Survivors include a son, Leonard Urhahn of Benton; three daughters, Wanda Lou Haney of Rockbridge, Ill., Carole Ann McKinney and Dorothy J. Ayers, both of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Marvin Blattel of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Zelma Scheper of Scott City; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a grandchild.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Benton Chapel. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Denis Catholic Church, with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
