Bernice Lucille Pennington, 93, of Chaffee, Missouri, died Saturday Oct. 3, 2015, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 4, 1921, in St. Louis to Annette May Scott. She graduated from high school in St. Louis.
Bernice was married to Clarence Ellis Pennington on May 14, 1940, in St. Louis. He died Nov. 25, 1999.
She was member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee.
She is survived by three sons, James (Norma) Pennington of Lexington, Oklahoma, Richard (Claire) Pennington of Kirkwood, Missouri, and Michael (Edith) Pennington of Chaffee; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clarence.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Casteel officiating.
Entombment will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
