JACKSON -- Funeral for Bernice Evelyn Moneyhun of Jackson will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. S.S. Borum will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at the chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Moneyhun, 95, died Sunday, April 16, 2000, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 11, 1904, in Clinton, Ill., daughter of James Franklin and Dora McAffee Cadle. She and Larkin Lee Moneyhun were married Dec. 28, 1925, in Carrollton, Ill. He died in 1961.

Moneyhun lived at Hildebrand 56 years, where she was postmaster more than 20 years. She moved to Jackson in 1981 from Oak Ridge to live with a son. She was a member of Sargents Chapel Lutheran Church at Millersville.

Survivors include two sons, John Moneyhun of Whitewater, Donald Moneyhun of Jackson; a daughter, Marjorie Eaker of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Millie Abernathy of Perryville; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two grandchildren, six brothers, and four sisters.
