OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Funeral for Bernice Bledsoe Clutts of Olive Branch will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill. The Rev. Billy Don Heady will officiate. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today, and Saturday until service time.

Clutts, 67, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at her home.

She was born Jan. 31, 1933, in Alexander County, Ill., daughter of Alfred and Lula Miller Levil. She and Roy Bledsoe were married in 1949. He died in 1983. She and Gerald "Buddy" Clutts were married in 1990. He died in 1998.

Clutts had worked in the office at Egyptian School District, at Tamms State Bank, and with her husband at Roy Bledsoe Insurance Agency.

She had served on the Central Alexander County Water District Board, and was currently serving on the Olive Branch Cemetery Association Board. She was a member of Alexander Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Kim and Lex Bledsoe of Olive Branch; a daughter, Cynthia Adams of Syracuse, N.Y., a stepdaughter, Susie Mills of Murphysboro, Ill.; a stepson, Jerry Clutts of Thebes, Ill.; a sister, Margaret "Shug" Hulen of Tamms; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
