ANNA, Ill. -- Bernetta Langston, 87, of Anna died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Ill.
She was born July 23, 1915, in Jonesboro, Ill., daughter of Monroe and Zora Taylor Boyd. She and Arthur Boyd Langston were married April 17, 1937, in St. Louis. He died May 23, 1998.
Langston was a 1935 graduate of Anna-Jonesboro High School. She was the former director of the Adult Day Care Center of Shawnee College in Anna, and was a licensed practical nurse at several health care centers in the area.
She was a member of Anna Church of the Nazarene and leader of the Senior Adult Ministries.
Survivors include a daughter, Rinsetta Ray of Anna; a son, Gary Langston of Ashland, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, four sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Dr. Richard Keeley officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Cemetery at Wetaug, Ill.
