Bernece Eaves

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Nellie Bernece "Dude" Eaves, 80, of Sikeston died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, at her home.

She was born Jan. 30, 1926, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Fred and Ella Liary McAnelly. She and William Paul Eaves were married Nov. 22, 1941, at Benton, Mo. He died Aug. 3, 2006.

Eaves was a member of Garden Ridge General Baptist Church at Bell City, Mo.

Survivors include a daughter, Pauline Uelsmann of Scott City; a brother, Paul McAnelly of East Prairie, Mo.; two sisters, Geneva Statler of Bloomfield, Mo., Pauline Gadey of Dexter, Mo.; two grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bill Fox officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
