PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Bernard Queathem, 76, of Perryville died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at his home.
He was born Nov. 29, 1926, in St. Louis, son of Arthur G. and Sylvia Cissell Queathem. He and Dolores Prost were married June 5, 1946, in Perryville. She died Sept. 16, 2000.
Queathem had been a truck driver. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church at Sereno, Mo., American Legion Post 133, and was a 3rd Degree member of Knights of Columbus.
He served with the U.S. Navy in the Seabees during World War II.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Trapp, Debra Wengert and Connie King, all of Perryville; four brothers, Arthur Queathem Jr. of St. Charles, Mo., James Queathem of Barnhart, Mo., Richard and Eugene Queathem of St. Louis; a sister, Joyce Kelley of Arcadia Valley, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a sister.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 6:30 to 9:40 a.m. Friday. An American Legion service will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, and parish prayers will be at 7. The rosary will be at 9 a.m. Friday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Victory Church. The Rev. Francis Agnew will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
