Bernard H. "Pete" Bremermann, 90, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at his home.
He was born July 6, 1921, in St. Louis, to Herman and Norine J. McCain Bremermann. He married Daisy Barrett on Sept. 2, 1944, at St. Columb Minor, Cornwall, England. She died May 7, 1965. He then married Carolyn L. Peters Dec. 31, 1969, in Poplar Bluff.
Bremermann was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Air Force.
He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. Pete was a salesman with Phil Phelps Trucking Co. in Poplar Bluff and later owned and operated Print Works Retail Store in Poplar Bluff, retiring in 2006. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau and Amvets Post 115 in Poplar Bluff.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn L. Bremermann of Poplar Bluff; a son, Bernard Michael (Jean) Bremermann of Richmond, Ky.; a daughter, Diane S. Bremermann of Cypress, Texas; a grandson, Kelly M. (Marilyn) Bremermann of Olympia, Wash.; a great-granddaughter, CaeLea Bremermann of Olympia; and a stepson, David L. Crumley of Poplar Bluff.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and a son, Robin Bremermann.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
