JONESBORO, Ill. -- Bernadine Sadler, 67, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, May 23, 1996, at her home.
She was born Sept. 13, 1928, in Jonesboro, daughter of Clarence A. and Virgie Bass Tweedy. She and Irval "Bill" Sadler were married Aug. 9, 1947, in Piggott, Ark.
Sadler retired from Choate Mental Health Center in Anna in 1989. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary in Anna, and the United Methodist Church in Jonesboro.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Pam Thompson of Jonesboro; her mother of Jonesboro; three brothers, Clarence Tweedy Jr. of Goreville, Richard Tweedy of Summerville, S.C., Michael Tweedy of Arkansas; four sisters, Christine Bost of Jonesboro, Joan Bartruff of Anna, Carol Gordon of Bay Shore, N.Y., Janice Lewellyn of South Elgin; two granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and a daughter.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
