Benton L. "Benny" Craig, 57, of Theodosia died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at Skaggs Community Health Center in Branson, following a brief illness.
He was born Aug. 8, 1942, at Walnut Shade, son of Lawrence and Geneva Craig.
Craig was a lifelong resident of the Branson area, and a graduate of Branson High School. He worked 20 years for Table Rock Asphalt. After retiring he moved to Theodosia where he owned and operated a dump truck and loader service. He had also farmed.
Survivors include his wife, Thana; three sons, Phillip Craig of Virginia Beach, Va., Steve Craig of Branson, Tony Youngblood of Cameron; four daughters, Diana Steele of Cape Girardeau, Nancy Knowlton of Hollister, Teresia Zimmerman of Theodosia, Tammy Simons of New Jersey; his mother, Geneva Hayward of Powersite; and 16 grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Dit Cemetery in Ocie. The Rev. Mitch Jakusz will officiate.
Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home at Branson is in charge of arrangements.
