Bentley "Bud" Ramsey, well-known Cape Girardeau businessman, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1992 at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 10, 1917 in Hindsboro, Ill., the son of Granville and Sommers Ramsey Ramsey.
He married Wanda Wheeler on July 3, 1943 in St. Charles. She survives.
He is also survived by two daughters, Linda Farrow and Phyllis Hopkins, both of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Kenneth Ramsey, Arcola, Ill., Keith Ramsey, Connersville, Ind.; and four grandchildren.
Six brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and had moved to Cape Girardeau in 1950 from Effingham, Ill.
He and Tinsley Mulkey owned the Trunnell Company from 1950 to 1953.
In 1953, he established his own company, Ramsey Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning. He owned the company for 34 years, retiring in 1987.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel with the Rev. Ernest Swartz officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
