KELSO, Mo. -- Benjamin L. "Bud" Drury, 88, of Kelso died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 19, 1921, in Benton, Mo., to Benjamin C. and Lorette E. Bertrand Drury. He married Lois Marie Wills on May 6, 1950, in Charleston, Mo. She died April 16, 2008...

KELSO, Mo. -- Benjamin L. "Bud" Drury, 88, of Kelso died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 19, 1921, in Benton, Mo., to Benjamin C. and Lorette E. Bertrand Drury. He married Lois Marie Wills on May 6, 1950, in Charleston, Mo. She died April 16, 2008.

Drury was a truck driver with ABF. He also worked for Drury Tile and Plastering and drove a school bus for St. Augustine School. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, life member of Knights of Columbus Scott City Council 6420, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Assembly 2283, and a retired Teamster.

He is survived by two sons, Denis (Becki) Drury of Plano, Texas, Wes (Connie) Drury of Kelso; two daughters, Debbie Gibson and Lynna Drury of Kelso; and nine grandchildren, Matthew (Millie) Dannenmueller, Stephanie (Travis) Steel, Dane Gibson, Michaela, Christopher, Kevin, Tamara, Maria and Kolbe Drury.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael, who died in 1986, and a sister, Marie Dilla.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 7 and Knights of Columbus prayer service at 7:15.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery at Kelso.
