MCCLURE, Ill. -- Beatrice Lucille Hafer, 62, of Summerville, S.C., died Saturday, July 11, 1998, at Charleston Hospital in Charleston, S.C.

She was born Dec. 21, 1935, at Bradley, Ill., daughter of Phillip and Irma Mae Alexander Ashline. She was married to Ronald D. Hafer Sr.

She was a homemaker and a member of Charleston Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ron Hafer Jr. of Hollidaysburg, Pa., and Christopher Hafer of Charleston; three daughters, Kathryn Wheatley of Houston, Texas, Valerie White of Madison, Tenn., and Lisa Shealy of Summerville; a sister, Audrey D. Gifford of McClure; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Parks Funeral Home Chapel in Summerville. Burial will be in Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, S.C.
