BEATRICE E. NELSON

Beatrice E. Nelson, 84, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 21, 1911, in Axtel, Texas, the daughter of Emmett E. and Beulah Lewis. She married Arthur L. Nelson on Nov. 4, 1944, in Durant, Okla.

Nelson was a nursing assistant from 1949-1959 at the Veterans Administration in Bayard, N.M. She worked in food services at Southeast Missouri State University from 1965-1975 and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.

Survivors include her husband; two brothers, Edward M. Lewis of China Springs, Texas, and Ira I. Lewis of Crawford, Texas; and a sister, Addie Lankford of Waco, Texas.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Thursday at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Christ Episcopal Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Brant Hazlett officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery in Denison, Texas. Burial will follow.
