Bayne O. Renfro, 69, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Nov. 21, 1930, in Truman, Ark., son of Horace and Hazel Pitts Renfro. He and Wanda Glenn were married Nov. 22, 1954.
Renfro was a copy machine technician in Southern Illinois and Southeast Missouri, retiring in 1995. He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1965 from Scott City.
He was a member of First General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, and was currently chairman of deacons and was an adult Sunday School teacher. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Glenna Pierce and Michell Halter of Cape Girardeau, Cynthia Brenemenn of Bellevue, Neb.; and stepfather, Toney Coley of Cherry Valley, Ark.
Also surviving are three brothers, Wayne Renfro of Walls, Miss., Dwight Renfro of Peoria, Ariz., Mayo Renfro of Rantoul, Ill.; four sisters, Frankie Coley of Memphis, Tenn., Virginia Halford of St. Louis, Fledia Morris and Linda Griffin of Cherry Valley; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today, and Sunday at First General Baptist Church after 1 p.m.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Sam Ramdial officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
