BARKLEY W. MURRAY

SIKESTON -- Barkley W. Murray, 85, of Sikeston, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1993 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Nov. 26, 1907 in Searcy, Ark., son of Arthur and Minnie L. Barkley Murray.

He marred Reba Troxell on Nov. 23, 1936 in Searcy. She survives.

He served in the Navy during World War II and worked 36 years as a machine operator for Scott County Milling Co.

Survivors include a son, Larry Murray of Sikeston; daughter, Barbara Cook of Sikeston; brothers, Herbert Murray of Independence and Malcolm Murray of Searcy; sisters, Minnie Lee Longenotti of Kansas City and Bianca Litchfield of Tucson, Ariz.; six grandchildren: and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Lee Fansler, pastor of First Baptist Church in Blodgett, officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
