Barbara Ann Westrich, daughter of the late James Lemuel and Stella Mae Lape Andrews, was born June 13, 1936, in Chaffee, Missouri, and departed this life Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, at the Arbors Senior Living in Cape Girardeau at the age of 84 years.

Barbara was a sales representative for 32 years at Wetterau Food Distribution in Scott City, a member of the St. Denis Catholic Church and a former resident of Chaffee. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing and working in the yard. Barbara belonged to Kelso Senior Citizens and enjoyed working the fish fries for the Scott City Knights of Columbus.

She was united in marriage to DeWayne Henry Welter on June 26, 1954. He preceded her in death June 27, 1987. She was then united in marriage to Quentin Westrich on Oct. 17, 1998. He preceded her in death May 1, 2000.

Survivors include a daughter, Michelle (Mike) Schaefer of Oran, Missouri; and two grandchildren, Adam Schaefer and Mitchell Schaefer.

Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Welter.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton, Missouri. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton with the Rev. Bala Swamy Govindu officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
