SIKESTON -- Barbara Parlee Reed, 76, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, May 31, 1995, at Sikeston Health Care Center. She was born April 5, 1919, in Brownsville, Tenn., daughter of Arthur S. and Bertha Parlee Warren Staggs. She and Clifford Reed were married Oct. 21, 1933. He died July 30, 1979...

SIKESTON -- Barbara Parlee Reed, 76, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, May 31, 1995, at Sikeston Health Care Center.

She was born April 5, 1919, in Brownsville, Tenn., daughter of Arthur S. and Bertha Parlee Warren Staggs. She and Clifford Reed were married Oct. 21, 1933. He died July 30, 1979.

Reed was a retired nursing technician with St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

Survivors include a daughter, Martha Chanley of East Prairie; four sisters, Edith Reed of Joelton, Tenn., Louise Patrick of St. Ann, Ill., Margie Folpynewig of Oglesby, Ill., Dorothy Patrick of East Prairie; nine grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Mike Johnson and Burl Britt officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
