CHARLESTON -- Barbara Joan Brown, 44, of Charleston died Friday, Feb. 16, 1996, at her residence.
She was born July 12, 1951, at Lawrenceburg, Tenn., daughter of Stevie and Veliah Simpson Rosson. She and Jimmy Brown were married June 3, 1970.
She was employed at the Brown Shoe Co. in Charleston for five years and later worked at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston until she retired in 1993. She was a member of the General Baptist Church in East Prairie.
Survivors are her mother of Charleston; her husband of Roxanna, Ill.; a son, Jimmy Dale Brown II of East Prairie; two daughters, Candie Mann of Roxanna and Kim Shoppell of East Alton, Ill.; two brothers, Jerry Rosson of Cape Girardeau and Mike Rosson of Summertown, Tenn.; two sisters, Betty Housman of Charleston and Connie Sternes of Crestview, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Tom Bridges will officiate, with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
