Barbara J. Henson, 87, of Jackson died Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, at Monticello House.
She was born July 6, 1934, in Dorena, Missouri, to George Morris and Ethel Mae Caperton Wolford. She and Johnnie David Henson were married Aug. 18, 1976, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death Jan. 28, 2010.
Barbara was a beautician for more than 50 years.
She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include three sons, Stanley (Ute) Smith, Shane (Lisa) Selsor and Tommy (Mary Jo) Selsor, all of Jackson; two brothers, Logan Wolford of East Prairie, Missouri, and Kenneth Wolford of Benton, Missouri; five grandchildren, Stephen Smith of San Antonio, Texas; Slade Selsor of Cape Girardeau; Stone Selsor of St. Louis; and Tommy Selsor and Ty Selsor, both of Jackson; and three great-grandchildren, Brantlee Selsor, Parker Selsor and Carsyn Selsor.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Atlas Wolford; and two sisters, Robbie Faye Wright and Margie Miller.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, at the funeral home with the Rev. Frank Burgess officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Fellowship Baptist Church.
