Barbara Fredrickson

CAIRO, Ill. — Barbara Langan Fredrickson, 71, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Cairo, died Monday, March 23, 2009, at her home.

She was born July 13, 1937, in Cairo, daughter of Elizabeth "Libby" Carter Morin and George Langan. She and Charles N. Frederickson were married.

Survivors include her mother of Cairo; her husband; a son, Mark Langan Frederickson of Charlotte; her stepfather, Joseph Morin of Cairo; and a stepson, Stephen Frederickson.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother.

Friends may call from 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Hawthorne United Methodist Church in Charlotte.

A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at the church in Charlotte. Burial will be at a later date in Vienna, Ill.

Heritage Funeral Home-Weddington Chapel of Charlotte is in charge of arrangements.
