ORAN, Mo. — Barbara Jean Bollinger, daughter of the late J.C. and Juanita Blue Joyce, was born Sept. 18, 1943, in Oran and departed her life Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at her home in Oran, while surrounded by her family.
On March 2, 1962, she was united in marriage to Buster Bollinger in Oran. She was married for 61 years to Buster as of March 2.
Barbara was an active member of Oran First Baptist Church, where she served the Lord through many different ministries. She was also a past member of Morley (Missouri) Eastern Star.
Besides her loving husband, Buster Bollinger of Oran, survivors include one son, Troy (LaDonna) Bollinger of Bonne Terre, Missouri; a daughter, Judi (Jim) Henson of Oran; four grandchildren, Mandi (Luke) O'Neal of Farmington, Missouri, Jacob (Scarlett) Bollinger of Caledonia, Missouri, Blake (Cassidy Sawyer) Henson of Laflin, Missouri, and Megan Henson of Oran; three great-grandchildren, Grayson and Maggie O'Neal and Brightyn Bollinger; and sister, Janet (John) Glen of Charlottesville, Virgina.
Besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa DeeAnn Bollinger.
Barbara had a deep passionate love for children and a desire to nurture every child with whom she came in contact.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Shriners Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, at the funeral home, with the Revs. Ed Carter and Donnie Ford officiating. Interment will follow in the Friends Cemetery in Oran.
