PUXICO -- Axel Peter Jacobsen, 89, of Royal Oak, Mich., died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 1995, at Cambridge Care Center North in Clawson, Mich.

He was born Oct. 27, 1905, in Langeland, Denmark. He and Velva Ligon were married Oct. 14, 1947. She died March 16, 1988.

Formerly of Puxico, Jacobsen was a pipefitter 50 years. He had lived in Royal Oak more than 40 years.

Survivors include four sons, Duane, Dennis, Douglas and Dean Jacobsen of Minneapolis, Minn.; a daughter, Betty Nelson of Minneapolis; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Puxico Cemetery, with the Rev. Marshall Link officiating.

Watkins and Sons Funeral Home at Puxico is in charge of arrangements.
