ORAN, Mo. -- Austin Brian Todt, 16, of Oran passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009, due to injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born Sept. 12, 1992, in Cape Girardeau, to Brian and Crystal Sallee Todt. Austin was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran and a member of CYC. He would have been a junior this fall at Oran High School. He was involved in FFA, Beta Club, Science Club and Art Club. He played on the Oran JV basketball team and on the baseball team...

ORAN, Mo. -- Austin Brian Todt, 16, of Oran passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009, due to injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was born Sept. 12, 1992, in Cape Girardeau, to Brian and Crystal Sallee Todt.

Austin was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran and a member of CYC. He would have been a junior this fall at Oran High School. He was involved in FFA, Beta Club, Science Club and Art Club. He played on the Oran JV basketball team and on the baseball team.

Austin was an avid hunter and fisherman. He spent many hours running in the outdoors. He truly loved the outdoors, hunting wildlife, conservation and what it had to offer him. Being a good hunter gave him peace and happiness.

Survivors include his parents; a sister, Courtney Todt of Oran; maternal grandmother and stepgrandfather, Claude Ann and Carl Mason of Oran; and paternal grandparents, Sylvester and Della Todt of Oran.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Charles Sallee.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. John Harth officiating. The Rev. Ed Carter will assist. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Logan Todt, Devan Sallee, Dillon Glastetter, Cody Dirnberger, Corey Hanselman, Jake Carter, Michael Doles, Tyler Heuring, Levi Dennis, Seth Griffin, Caleb Priggel, Gabe Kielhofner and Brandon Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund for Austin Todt at Alliance Bank in Oran, Mo.
