PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Aurelia "Butch" Thieret, 69, of Perryville died Monday, March 9, 2009, at her home.

She was born March 30, 1939, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of Alfred I. and Rose M. Wagner Sauer. She and Dale J. Thieret were married April 11, 1959.

Thieret retired as secretary of the United Methodist Church in Perryville. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno, Mo.

Survivors include her husband; seven sons, Craig, Tim, David and Brad Thieret of Perryville, Robert Thieret of St. Louis, Scott Thieret of Jefferson City, Mo., Jeff Thieret of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Juanita Malaway of Perryville, Rita Siegmund of St. Louis; a brother, Anthony Sauer of St. Louis; and 22 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and 6:30 to 9:20 a.m. Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The parish wake will be at 5 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, with the Revs. Francis Agnew and Bill Rhinehardt officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
