AUGUSTA SIMPHER

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Funeral for Augusta L. Simpher, 82, of Chaffee will be at 1 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Ralph Duffner will officiate. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Catholic Church Cemetery in Oran, Mo.

Simpher died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at Heartland Care in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 28, 1918, daughter of A.V. and Frances Blattel Lauck. She and Daniel L. Simpher were married Aug. 23, 1941. He died Feb. 26, 1973.

She was retired from the Oran Hat Factory and was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, St. Ann Sodality and Ladies Auxiliary of Morley VFW.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel L. Simpher Jr., of New Hamburg, Mo., and Leon Lauck of Paducah, Ky.; four daughters, Eleanor Clary of Siley, Mo., Deloros Pazdera of Texas City, Texas., Donna Gray of Brighton, Tenn., and Darlene Fisher of Dickinson, Texas; a brother, Tony Lauck of Springfield, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
