AUGUST LAUCK

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- August J. "Gussie" Lauck, 85, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born Sept. 7, 1915, in Perry County, Mo., son of Joseph and Anna Unterreiner Lauck. He and Geraldine Schnurbusch were married June 3, 1941, at Apple Creek, Mo.

Lauck farmed all his life. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Apple Creek and served as an usher.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Margie Winschel of Perryville; two sons, Eugene and Gary Lauck of Perryville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. The parish wake is at 6 tonight. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Church at Apple Creek, with the Rev. Mark Bozada officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery at Apple Creek.
