JACKSON -- August Martin "Peanuts" Lange, 84, of Jackson died Monday, Feb. 17, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 28, 1912, at Egypt Mills, son of John and Dena Fornkohl Lange. He and Evelyn Maevers were married Oct. 14, 1939, in Cape Girardeau.
Lange farmed in the Egypt Mills and Neelys Landing areas. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Egypt Mills.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Harold and Jerry Lange of Jackson; a daughter, Marjean Cook of Burfordville; a sister, Frieda Trickey of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and a grandson.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Church in Egypt Mills. The Rev. Mark Martin will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
