AUGUST C. PAPE

ZALMA -- Funeral service for August C. Pape of Zalma will be held at 2 p.m. today at Baker Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. The Revs. Norman Elledge and Bill Sargeant will officiate, with burial in Berrong Cemetery near Zalma.

Pape, 85, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1993, at his home.

He was born June 26, 1907, at Zalma, son of Conrad Henry and Ida Mae Bruhl Pape. He and the former Eula Thomas were married Dec. 7, 1927.

Pape was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, John, Thomas and Michael Pape, all of Zalma; four daughters, Trella Ward of Advance, Janet Gaither and Mary Baker of St. Louis, Eula Sturgeon of Zalma; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
