Audrey Stroud

OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Audrey Henderson Stroud, 78, of Olive Branch died Monday, April 21, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 5, 1936, in Water Valley, Ky., daughter of Virtice and Lela Morgan Via. She married Barney "Ted" Henderson Oct. 16, 1954. She later married Gene Stroud July 13, 1984.

Audrey enjoyed reading the Bible, spending time with her family, and working puzzle books.

Survivors include two daughters, Beverly (Jerry) Held and Ellen (Dale) Bigham of Olive Branch; three sons, Glenn (Joanna) Henderson and Vernon (Lois) Henderson of Olive Branch and Rodney (Stacey) Henderson of Cape Girardeau; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Violet Kelley of Washington, Ill.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ludean Henderson and her husbands.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and noon until service time Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Guy Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
