Audrey M. Baker, 1417 N. Henderson, died Wednesday, May 27, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born May 2, 1912, at Oak Ridge, daughter of J.P. and Sally Jenkins Malone. She and Albert E. Baker were married May 30, 1934. He died in April 1951.
Baker has lived here since her marriage, and worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. 10 years. She and her husband founded Cape Paint and Glass Co. in March 1941, which she operated more than 40 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, former member of Chamber of Commerce, National Glass Association and National Painting and Decorating Association.
Survivors include four sons, John, Albert and Tom Baker of Cape Girardeau, Jeff Baker of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Sally Loos of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Exeda Smith of Sacramento, Calif., Geraldine O'Brien of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. John Owen will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
