CAIRO, Ill. -- Audrey Lentz, 92, of Cairo died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1997, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
She was born May 7, 1905, in Sedalia, Mo., daughter of William and Mabel Batty Edwards. She married Robert E. Lentz, who died in 1971.
Lentz was a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Normal. She was a teacher 30 years at Cairo Schools. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Alexander County Senior Citizens Board, Patrons Club of Magnolia Manor, charter member of Cairo Junior Women's Club, and a former secretary-treasurer of Cairo Women's Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Xandra Gibson of Cairo, Dianne Wham of Henderson, Ky.; a son, Robert Lentz of Columbia, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
There is no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Kelly Cox officiating. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery at Dongola.
Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
