JONESBORO, Ill. -- Audra "Red" Garner, 90, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, April 23, 1997, at Jonesboro Healthcare Center.
He was born July 26, 1906, in Cave City, Ark., son of Andrew Scott and Josephine Rutledge Garner.
Garner had farmed and was employed by Illinois Central Railroad. He was a member of Lockard Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lela; two sons, Andrew "Sonny" Garner, Roy Garner; six daughters, Lorene Vincent, Freda Boyer, Nina Householder, Glenda Moore, Janice Bittle, Anita Stone; a stepson, Gerald Newman; four stepdaughters, Norma Smith, Shirley Mosby, Nina Wright, Charlene Sadler; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Hart officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
