SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Audie C. Thompson of Sikeston will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Ken Carnell will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
Thompson, 84 years old, died Monday, March 4, 1990, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born May 5, 1906, in Scotland, Ark., son of Charles Howell and Julia Evelyn Levells Thompson. He and the former Elva Trotter were married Feb. 16, 1926, in Cleveland, Ark. She died Aug. 13, 1990.
Thompson was a retired farmer, and bridge and highway construction worker.
Survivors include four sons, Fairrell and Maurice Thompson of Matthews, Benny Thompson of Sikeston, Jerry (Butch) Thompson of Bloomfield; three daughters, Charlene Polk of Canalou, Billie Carroll and Margaret Mays of Sikeston; 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, daughter, several brothers and sisters.
