ARVETTA MCELMURRY DANNER

MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Arvetta D. McElmurry Danner, 48, of Mound City died Friday, Nov. 24, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 22, 1947, at Pulaski, Ill., daughter of Raymond and Irene Poindexter McElmurry. She and Will Danner were married.

She attended Douglass High School in Mounds.

Survivors include her daughter, Shelly Marvin Tucker, of Mound City; four sisters, Quintilla Batiste of Mounds, Rose Wilkerson and Wanda Clark, both of Chicago, and Lorene Jeter of Pulaski; three brothers, Raymond McElmurry and Herman McElmurry, both of Pulaski, and Wayne McElmurry of Mounds; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Algee Memorial Chapel in Cairo from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. J.L. Posey will officiate, with burial in Spencer Heights Memorial Park in Mounds.
