Arthur William Sharpe, 72, of Tamms, Ill., formerly of McClure, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 1993, at his home.
He was born June 17, 1921 at Reynoldsville, Ill., the son of Ralph and Alice Groves Sharpe.
He married Velma Johnson on Jan. 25, 1945 in Jonesboro, Ill. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Charon Harrison of Melrose Park, Ill., and Sandra Sharpe of Princeville, Ill.; step son, Henry Palmer of McClure; half sister, DMoris Sharpe of Denison, Tex; three half brothers, David Hutchison, Tamms, Paul Hutchison, Salem, Wis., and Randy Hutchison, Gary, Ind.; two grandchildren; five step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.
Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg St. Funeral Home, with the Rev. F. M. Speakman and the Rev. Greg Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 4 to 8 p.m.
