POCAHONTAS -- Arthur W. Ruehling, 91, of Pocahontas died Thursday, April 17, 1997, at the Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.
He was born Feb. 24, 1906, at Pocahontas, son of Henry and Christine Walthers Ruehling.
He married Olga Schuessler Sept. 2, 1936.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas and a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.

He farmed for many years in Perry County and retired in 1992 and moved to Pocahontas.
Survivors are his wife, a brother, Elmer Ruehling of Jackson, and a sister, Olga Ladreiter of Pocahontas.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas, with the Rev. Howard Mueller officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
