Arthur J. "Buck" Sexton, 84, of Scott City died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at his home.
He was born April 2, 1922, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Arthur J. and Anna Jane Harman Sexton. He and Naomi M. Wallace Sexton were married in 1944 in Independence, Mo. She died March 15, 1990.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion and VFW Post 3838. He was employed by ABF as a truck driver for 28 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Cashman of Scott City; two sons, Ronald R. Sexton of Blodgett, Mo., and Edward E. Sexton of Port Orchard, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sons, four brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at Ford & Sons Benton Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cape Girardeau County Memorial Park Cemetery, with VFW Post 3838 officiating.
