CAIRO, Ill. -- Funeral service for Arthur G. Faulkner of Cairo will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Barkett Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Larry L. Potts will officiate, with burial in Cairo City Cemetery at Villa Ridge.

Faulkner, 87, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born Sept. 6, 1906, son of Arthur H. and Lena Glade Faulkner.

Faulkner was a retired civil engineer with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and attended Cairo Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Rebah; a daughter, Donna Wood of Murphysboro; a son, Wayne Faulkner of Cairo; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
