ORAN -- Arthur George Dirnberger, 78, of Oran, died Monday, May 11, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born in Oran on May 21, 1913, son of Frank and Ida Scherer Dirnberger.
He married Evelyn Sietmann on Feb. 3, 1937. She survives of the home.
He was a farmer before retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, and a member of the St. Joseph Sodality, the Knight of Columbus No. 4311 in Oran, and was a fourth degree in the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors are two sons, Jerry Dirnberger and Lenard Dirnberger, both of Oran; two sisters, Viola Brands of Oran and Anita C. LeGrand of Benton; and three grandchildren.
One brother preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 3 p.m. today, where a rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. and a KC prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
