Arnold Lee Edwards, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born Dec. 31, 1926, in Cape Girardeau to James and Pearl Brown Edwards.
He and Nina Cruce were married in 1947 in Cape Girardeau. She preceded him in death June 14, 2017.
Arnold served in the Navy during World War II from 1944 to 1946.
He owned and operated Edwards 66 Gas Station in Cape Girardeau for 40 years.
He attended the Cowboy Church.
Survivors include son, Bruce (Ida) Edwards of Saint Charles, Missouri; three daughters, Vicki (Dee) Welker of Jackson, Rebecca (Leo) Casey of Gordonville and Patti Wilson of Springfield, Missouri; five grandsons, Todd (Kristie) Rayburn of Jackson; Andy (Wendy) Helton of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; Gabe (Becky) Helton of Gordonville; Jonathan (Heather) Wilson of Wrightstown, Wisconsin; and Jeff (Kim) Edwards of St. Charles; four granddaughters, Jennifer (Jerry) Headd of Noblesville, Indiana; Kyndra Benson and Sara Holland of Springfield; and Natalie Newton of Wentzville, Missouri; stepgranddaughter, Kim Younce; stepgrandson, Kevin Welker; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Graveside funeral service will be private at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
